2015 Assabet season in reviewThe Lady Aztecs ended the season with an impressive run to the district finals before losing to Hopedale 7 to 3. The game was much tighter as Assabet had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out in the 6th trailing 4-3 but couldn't get the tying run across the plate. Assabet played 3 division I teams and lost to all of them putting up their best performance with a 2-1 loss at Algonquin. Assabet tied BVT for another league title giving the three seniors 3 in four years. Josie Burlingame & Morgan Foster became stars with the bats and must continue to make progress into the 2016 season. Kayla Seymour and Brianna Fontes started predominantly the whole season as freshman and played exceptional defense as well. Kayla also had home runs including one in the districts. Giselle Perez, Hannah Besaw and Gabby Eldredge saw action on the field and continued to get on base for the Aztecs throughout the year. Bryana Torres, Molly Manganaro, Caitlyn LeDuc and Danielle McKnight played sparingly but made key plays when called upon. All seven will be fighting for positions in 2016. Overall, the year was a success, the team lost the most productive trio of players in Assabet Softball history. Maddy Parmeter, Jocelyn Orangio and Kayla Baker played key roles leading the team to the Assabet's fifth straight Division III title game (CMASS Division III record).
